Overview

During University, we partake in various projects to help solidify our knowledge and skills. My most memorable projects were in my Mechatronics units as I was able to physically build robots. These projects required 3D design, PCB design, 3D printing and laser cutting, programming of microcontrollers, vision, report writing, problem solving and collaborative team work to complete. Additionally, I covered SLAM, autonomous systems, modern control and embedded systems, all of which are relative and useful in today's robotic world.

Besides University, I participated in numerous societies and clubs where countless projects were built, too many to cover.

Designed a concept idea of a new MmicroCcontroller that would allowing people to create even simpler than an Arduino, by reducing the requirement to coding.

In the first Mechatronics unit, we had to make a line following robot which was first illustrated in CAD and included the custom designed PCBs.

The final product for the line following robot which aced the assessment.

The design of our soccer robot which was based of a milled metal frame.

Demonstration of the vision system in the soccer robot.

A concept render of a self-designed remote for a Persistent Of Vision (POV) assistant device.

The base of the POV device which was to aid people in isolation in a new 3D holographic way by allowing people to communicate with loved ones in a "almost" realistic experience.

A demonstration of a interactive GUI that can control a motor while displaying and responding to 6 different sensors at once. This was to simulate an electric car system.

The resulting simulation of SLAM and autonomous systems working to avoid obstacles while heading to it's destination.
